Young Artists: Ages 16-17 and 18-30
Have you ever considered miniature art?
Can you paint/draw/sculpt small? (within 11.5×15.2cm? or sculpt within 20cm?)
These are just some examples of our 16-17 year olds’ work that were exhibited in 2023 and 2024. (please use all 6 images or a smaller selection, whichever works best. I will try to find an image of at least one piece that is in scale for this page)
The Selection committee have been overwhelmed by the insight, imagination and inspiration in the artworks they saw, and Ray Winder, President of the RMS, has awarded a variety of prizes to Young Artists.
The Royal Miniature Society are proud to showcase and celebrate the skill and creativity of Young Artists from across the globe, alongside their Members.
Submitting your work is free if you are aged 16-17, and £18 per entry for ages 18-30.
You can also become a Student Member (SRMS) if you are aged 18-30, where a concession rate of £13 per entry applies.
How to become a Student Member – Artists aged 18-30 will have to have had 3 works accepted/exhibited in the 1st year. In the following year a further 3 works must be submitted. If all three works are accepted, the Selection Committee will consider the candidate for election to Student Membership. If elected, the artist will become SRMS. The student membership grants entry fee concession from the year following election.
If you are unsure about your artwork and need a bit of friendly advice/guidance, please email Claire Hucker: info@royal-miniature-society.org.uk
