What is a Miniature?
The definition of Miniature Art is not absolute, but must be of exquisite, fine detail and within the sizing rules.
Sizing of artwork rule:
Rectangles and ovals 4.5 x 6inchs (11.5 x 15.2cm) including frame.
Squares 4.5 x 4.5inches (11.5 x 11.5cm) including frame.
Circular 4.5inches in diameter (11.5cm) including frame.
Sculptures should not be more than 8inches (20cm) on the longest side.
Size limits for Human/Animal portraits rule:
Heads should not measure more than 2inches (5cm) from chin to the top of the head. For animals, heads include ears.
