Pauleen Trim HS ARMS GM SBA Fellow, is a Botanical and Miniature Artist who lives and works in rural Dorset.
After a 25 year career in lecturing Art and Design at the Bournemouth College, on
retirement she took a course in Botanical painting and fell in love with painting
nature.
She has been an Artist Member of the Hilliard Society for many years and sits on
their Council and the Selection Panel for their annual exhibitions. In 2026 she was
awarded Best Botanical Painting and Best Small Miniature (under 4cm) at their
Annual Open Exhibition.
In 2025 she was elected an Associate Member of the Royal Miniature Society and
was awarded an Honourable Mention at the 2025 Annual Exhibition.
She is a Fellow of the Society of Botanical Artists and is a Tutor and Assessor on
their Distance Learning Diploma Course, and has been awarded two SBA
Certificates of Botanical Merit.
Pauleen has also been awarded two RHS Gold Medals for painting (2021 and 25)
and in 2021 her painting Fraxinus excelsior won her Best Botanical Painting in
Show and is now part of the RHS Lindley Library Archives.
She exhibits both Nationally and Internationally, and teaches and demonstrates
botanical and miniature techniques.
As part of the team painting the Meadow Flora of Transylvania, she has now
visited the Botanical Art School there twice and contributed ten illustrations to their
Herbarium and Florilegium Archive.
